Flute

Nicholas Handahl is a flutist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a master's degree at New York University, having served as an adjunct instructor and performed as a concerto soloist with the university orchestra. Nicholas performed for years with the Luzerne Chamber Players during summer sessions in upstate New York. Nicholas has been focused on the performance of contemporary music and has worked with and performed the music of Theodoris Lotis, Ian Ng, Robert Dick, George Crumb, and John Corigliano. Since 2018, Nicholas has been a member of the Arcana New Music Ensemble in Philadelphia. In March of 2022, Nicholas performed Farzia Fallah’s “Posht-e Hichestan” as part of a program highlighting contemporary Iranian composers. Nicholas is active as a teacher and conductor and is a proud member of the Teaching Artist Faculty of the Play on Philly program. I'm a paragraph. Click once to begin entering your own content.
